Rob’s role is to work with City departments to measure and diminish environmental impacts of their daily operations. He also leads the City’s smart city efforts including the North End Smart District. Rob joined the City in 2007 as the first environmental attorney and in 2010 he moved to his current position.
Sarah’s role is to work across the City and in the community to build capacity through people-centered projects. With the North End Smart District, she is responsible for grant-writing, strategy development, and performance tracking. Sarah joined the City in 2014, with a past in grassroots campaign management.

Rachel’s role is to investigate, engage, design, and activate the public realm and make them human-friendly. She coordinates efforts between different city departments on the North End Smart District. Rachel joined the City in 2016 from working in the private sector in Cape Town, South Africa.
Cherie’s role is to engage and connect residents with existing resources and solutions to achieve community goals. She leads in resident communication strategies and works with residents to identify training that that prepares them for a career in technology sectors. A native Charlottean, Cherie joined the City in 2016.
Erin’s role is to work with various partners to build an inspiring public realm. She leads the Smart Homes Kick Start in the North End Smart District, which explores how technology can decrease the energy burden and improve quality of life. A native Charlottean, Erin joined the City in 2016.
Beverlee’s role is to engage and educate Charlotteans on how to improve their personal health by properly managing their waste through various waste reduction strategies. She is responsible for curating content, building partnerships and organizing community events. Beverlee has been with the City since 2017.
